While all this time stray Animals are victims of one inhumane war- they are satanized in Serbian Media and they are presented as war criminals, terrorists and State enemy No 1…
This fabricated story covers painful truth, and we need your voice to bring this brutal reality to daylight …

Random Act

We were once more tricked by city officials and workers of city kill pound OVCA. Thez killed one gentle female thus thez say that she escaped... who ever escaped from that hell hole?
sadly this is not a lonely case-

European Initiative 17 liberated from Ovca facility 11 Dogs in a period: July 30. - August 15.
One of them was a BB dog named Perica (marked as: BB 1292, he is blind on one eye and have epilepsy) - he supposedly should be protected by the "document of good intentions" that Brigitte Bardott foundation made in September 2002. with Belgrade City officials, but as it is seeable ( he was catch and brought to Ovca City kill pound)
there is nothing that could protect Dogs from Dog catchers. They don't care if Dogs are spayed and neutered, they don't care if those Dogs are loved by kids, that those Dogs are someone's financial investment (they live on street but people that care for them give money for food, shelter and vaccinations…)-
City officials see these poor Animals as garbage and as garbage they treat them.

Street Report (2.) - Who's NEXT   ??!

Atrocities that surround this story are reminding us that even in year 2005. we can 't rely on police protection even if we fought 10 years for Democracy…   even so, these days we can expect to be harassed and kidnapped if that is a wish of those who have "connections" and friends in police department.
"Miomir Stokic ( president of  the building council) and Vujadin Miletic clubbed the dog "Luka" to death, wrapped him in fishing net, and drove him in an unknown direction in the back of his BMW..."

Dog "Cira" Victim of street shooting!

"Cira"-the Hero  (after antibiotic treatment injection, September 6th 2005 .)

Street Dog "Cira" survived with the help of one kind family who gave him shelter after surviving what his female friend "Zujka' did not!

"Zujka" died from gun wounds on the scene
(September 3. 2005. Between 10-11 pm, on the corner of streets "Blaze Jovanovica" and "Matice srpske" in Mirjevo/ part of Belgrade)
By the time EI17's investigation team came on crime scene, Zujka's dead body was "disposed"
Investigation is in process, "EI17" will give brief report about this case on requests.
Important Notes:
Both dogs were sterilized and vaccinated and under protection of "European Initiative 17" organization. Both Dogs are small and did not represent any threat to citizens.

Your Help is needed/Action:

A Dog "Cira" spent many years in Mirjevo - and his right to be on street no one can take away, he is innocent- yet he suffered so badly now and before ( his eye have a huge cist due to a prior attack on him- he was kicked in head)!
 
We will do everything to save "Cira" , for now "EI17" paid for antibiotic injection, first treatment, and scanning- now we are waiting for full Vet report- what to do with this bullet that is stuck in his head- first Vet impression was not to touch a bullet… because bullet is now shattered in his head and operation could jeopardize "Cira's" life.
Poor "Cira" have that huge cist in his eye also, so we are questioning options for eye operation......
 
Our dear "Cira" will need permanent HOME (adoption) and care, he can't continue to live on street after such a big injury.

New case of Kreozan poisoning in Mirjevo. Young female was saved today thanks to founder of "EI17" and her fast first aid action.
Action began with chase of frightened dog thru neighborhood, in order to clear her body of poison with our first aid kit,
we had to catch her and calm her down.
Dog was frightened because she was breathing heavily while pain started to spread thru her body.
After first aid, dog was cleared of poison and we gave her vitamin injection in order to keep her strong in days of recovering....
This is not the lonely case, street poisoning with Kreozan is very common in Belgrade , so we are asking for your help. Please write to Belgrade city officials urging them to condemn these vicious acts and to prohibit selling of poison on free market.

Next big event in Belgrade is in September- European Championship in Basketball,
Belgrade City officials want to have "clean streets" and Animals will be rounded up everyday until officials reach their goal.
