ATLANTIS THE MYTH of the LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS

SO MANY PEOPLE CLAIM ATLANTIS IS LOST, BUT EXACTLY WHERE WAS ATLANTIS?

With Plato describing in detail how Atlantis looked, in his day, the idea that it is lost under the Atlantic Ocean, maybe stretching the myth of the Lost City of Atlantis, unless of course there were scuba diving schools back in the good old days

It is, however, feasible, that it could be ‘just off the coast’ and that the sea has risen, covering up this lost city of the Atlanian people forever

It is also possible, that Atlantis covered a much wider region, than just a local area

It is not possible, that the lost city of Atlantis, is on Mars, the planet of war, or Venus the planet of love

I BRING YOU SOME OF THE CLAIMS TO THE MYTH OF THE LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS

The people of Crete claim that the Lost City of Atlantis is Crete

or could Atlantis be Cadiz Spain?

Many myths surrounding the lost city of Atlantis, perhaps more than one of them are correct, perhaps Atlantis was not located only in one place, but many locations. Here are a few of the myths.

Atlantis in the Atlantic Ocean?

The Light of the City of Atlantis

Atlantis the lost at sea ancient city

When the Greek island of Minoan Santorini erupted it sent out a huge tidal wave which hit the north coast of Crete, many Cretans believe that the lost Minoan civilisation was in fact the Atlantians.

There are artifacts of this era still under the sea, especially in the bay of Elounda. Elounda is on the north coast of Crete. Volcanic ash fell on the north coast of Crete from the massage explosion on Santorini, hiding any further finds from the fabled lost city of Atlantis.

It is prohibited to dive the bay of Elounda, which is a shame because artifacts are down there! Perhaps artifacts from the lost city of Atlantis? or perhaps just the remnants of the volcanic eruption and collapse of the centre of Santorini, the Greek island changed forever and redrew the north coast of Crete – were the Minoans the lost civilisation of Atlantis? scroll down!

Atlantis and the people’s of the Lost City of Atlantis are thought to have believed in a universal energy, taught to the people’s by the teachers and priests as the Light of Atlantis.

It is believed, by many people, there was a crystal dome healing temple within the city.

The Light of the City of Atlantis may well have been used as great natural healing powers.

When Atlantis sunk far below the rising waters, it is belileved that the DNA from another dimension, written in a code, sunk with the city. Alas, there are many claims of where the original city of Atlantis stood, perhaps, we may consider that it was located in all the places of belief.

Perhaps the people’s of Atlantis really did have a portal to visit many distant places in an instant. A technology lost in time.

The Lost City of Atlantis, in the Atlantic ocean?

Recent deep sea surveys by the United States Government show here a reconstruction of the Lost City of Atlantis. The continent is clearly between America and Europe! The submerged Dolphin ridge is evidently a vestige of the lost Atlantean Continent, the lost city of Atlantis. According to Plato’s story there were three rings of canals and two zones of land, cut by four rivers. From this island continent destroyed approximately 20,000 years ago, came all civilisation. Egypt is supposed to have been settled by a colony of Atlanteans as were central and south America.

Santorini and the Volcanic Eruption

Were the Minoans the people of Atlantis?

Many Greek archaeologists believe so

The total destruction of Thera (the Greek island of Santorini), the heat blast and tidal waves which likely destroyed the great shipping industry on Crete; earthquakes, and the agricultural crisis caused by ash fallout, combined to put an end to the might Minoans, and in a short space of time, 50 years or less, the great Minoan civilization had already started to become a legend.

Lost City of Atlantis Cadiz Spain – Found in Cadiz Spain in 2004?

The lost city of Atlantis Cadiz Spain could lie in a region off Spain’s southern coast, new research to find the lost City of Atlantis was reported by the archaeology journal Antiquity and their research hovered around Cadiz in Spain

Archaeologists have not yet commented on this finding and it is based solely on satellite images that show ancient ruins matching descriptions made by the Greek scholar Plato.

It shows two rectangular buildings hidden in a muddy region known as Marisma de Hinojos near the port of Cadiz.

Apparently descriptions of Atlantis Cadiz Spain as an island refer to this part of Spain that was destroyed by a flood between 800 and 500 B.C.

The theory is supported by the presence of two rectangular features which match temple depictions in Plato’s descriptions of Atlantis Cadiz Spain and the structures are clearly visible in satellite pictures. One feature, 230 meters (755 feet) long by 140 meters (460 feet) wide, could be a silver temple dedicated to the sea god Poseidon; the other, quadratic structure, measuring 280 meters (920 feet) by 240 meters (790 feet), could be a golden temple devoted to Cleito and Poseidon.

They are surrounded by concentric circles which agrees with Plato’s description of temples surrounded by concentric circles of water and earth. Even the sizes are correct.

According to Plato, the diameter of the largest circle of Atlantis was 27 stades, i.e. 5 kilometers. In the satellite photos, the diameter of the largest circle is between five and six kilometres. Atlantis Cadiz Spain has eluded scholars ever since Plato first mentioned it around 360 B.C.

The Greek scholar told of a city placed in front of the Pillars of Hercules, the Straits of Gibraltar, which flourished for more than 9,000 years. Reputedly destroyed by the gods when its people became prone to sin and corruption.

Legend has it the entire city was swallowed by the sea within a day and a night under the earthquake and subsequent tidal wave. For centuries scholars and explorers have searched for it. One recent theory equates Atlantis Cadiz Spain with Spartel Island, which sank to the bottom of the sea 11,000 years ago.

The island, just to the west of the Strait of Gibraltar, lies only 120 kilometers (75 miles) from these rectangular structures.

According to Plato, the Atlantean capital was placed about nine kilometers from the sea on the edge of a rectangular, smooth and even plain surrounded by mountains that reached to the sea.

Apart from this, the country was very high and had a steep coastline.

Close to Cadiz is a rectangular, smooth and even plain which lies at a south coast. The mountains described by Plato would then be the Sierra Morena and Sierra Nevada.

It has been noted that the war between Atlantis Cadiz Spain and the eastern Mediterranean countries described in Plato’s writings strongly resembled that of mysterious raiders known as the Sea People around 1200 B.C.

The Atlanteans and the Sea People would then be the same, according to the German scientist.

If the capital of Atlantis Cadiz Spain indeed existed near the mouth of the Guadalquivir, then we suggest that Plato’s Atlantis Cadiz Spain tale is based upon an Egyptian report on the Sea Peoples and some Greek tradition on the Athens of that time.
The report on the Atlantean city and state may refer to a Spanish city, possibly identical with Tartessos, which was probably destroyed by Carthaginians during the sixth century B.C.

Cleopatra Queen of Crete Greek Island

Cleopatra queen of ancient Egypt…

How did Queen Cleopatra die?

Who did Cleopatra marry?

Who were Cleopatra’s children?

Who was Cleopatras Lover?

Who were Cleopatras husbands?

Cleopatra one of the most fascinating and beautiful women in the history of the world is Cleopatra Queen of Egypt.

Known for her intelligence, charm, wit and ambition, she had relationships with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony – two of the most important Roman rulers of their time.

Cleopatra was born in 69 BC she became queen of Egypt by 51 BC. She married her 10 year old brother Ptolemy XIII, who was her co-ruler.

Marriage between brother and sister quite the norm in the Egyptian royal family in those days!

When Egypt suffered from a famine in 51-49 BC, Ptolemy’s guardians seized power and drove Cleopatra from the throne.

When Julius Caesar arrived in Alexandria, the two fell in love.

Julius Caesar had now defeated Cleopatra’s opponents and Ptolemy drowned trying to escape. She was returned to the throne with another brother, Ptolemy XIV.

She had a son named Ptolemy Caesar, who was known as Caesarion. Cleopatra always claimed he was the son of Julius Caesar.

Cleopatra went to Rome and after Julius Caesar was assassinated, Cleopatra returned to Egypt, where she had her brother murdered so that Caesarion could rule with her as Ptolemy XV.

Mark Antony invited Cleopatra to Tarsus in Asia Minor. The two fell in love and she gave birth to twins, Alexander Helios and Cleopatra Selene.

Even though Antony loved Cleopatra and their children, he left her to marry Octavia, the sister of his co-ruler Octavian.

Antony soon left Octavia and returned to Cleopatra and they married. Cleopatra had another son, Ptolemy Philadelphos and Antony appointed Cleopatra the ruler of Egypt, Cyprus, Crete, and Syria.

Octavian and Antony went to war for control of the Roman Empire. But the forces of Antony and Cleopatra lost the Battle of Actium off the coast of Greece and they returned to Egypt.

By 30 BC Octavian had reached Egypt in pursuit of Antony and Cleopatra.

After his arrival, Cleopatra spread a report that she had committed suicide.

Antony heard the report and stabbed himself out of grief.

Before he died he learned that Cleopatra was still alive. His followers took him to Cleopatra and he died in her arms.

12 August 30 BC Cleopatra tried to make peace with Octavian.

But when her attempts failed she took her life by placing an asp, a poisonous snake, on her chest.

Aphrodite goddess of love was born from a drop of blood from the wounds of Uranus.

His blood droplet had fallen into the ocean and the water began to froth and foam the fully grown figure of Aphrodite appeared.

Rumour has it that this event occurred near the Greek Island of Cythera (off the south coast of the Peleponese mainland of Greece).

Aphrodite was the loveliest goddess and carried a giant scallop shell to the shores of Cyprus where she was met by the Seasons the form of beautiful girls, who gave her clothes and jewels to wear.

Doves flocked around her and became her special birds.

She was the godess of love who existed purely to be beautiful and adored with no other duties. Her girdle was magic which made whoever wore it irresistibly attractive to men. Both Adonis and Paris preferred Aphrodite to all other goddesses.

The marriage of Aphrodite

Zeus had decided that Aphrodite should marry his son Hephaestos, the smith god who was strong but coarse and lame.

He worked in the gods forge making weapons and handmade jewellery. She could have had her pick of men or gods and being none too pleased with Zeus choice she took many lovers.

Aphrodite and Ares

Ares was her most famous lover, the god of war. Hephaestos did not like his wifes behaviour so decided to teach her a lesson.

He forged a net of bronze links and hung it above her bed.

When the lovers were next together he dropped the net over them and caught them like fish.

He called the other gods to come and see how ridiculous they looked yet still he forgave Aphrodite.

Aphrodite and Adonis

Both Aphrodite and Persephone had fallen in love with a handsome human called Adonis, sparking Persephones jealousy.
