The proposed restoration to the roads has begun! The huge digger moved in today and the road was transformed into the craters of the moon!
Two men were working together and were very polite. They informed us that the new roads are going to be so beautiful. One even took time to rescue the stranded little dog and place him onto a safer surface!

The digger moves further into the village and burrows deeper into the road.
In less than 20 minutes concrete is churned up and now totally blocks the road.
The average age of the population of Pano is probably mid 70's.
The road is now totally inaccessible by foot. The good news is that the village is now really really quiet!
Not for long! A couple of days rest then the machines begin once again.
Before the men leave late in the afternoon, they make sure they clear a path for the residents to walk along.
